Founded in 1951, Japan Airlines (JAL) became the first international airline in Japan and the first Japanese airline to fly to Frankfurt (since 1963). A oneworld® member, JAL operates a modern fleet of 230 aircraft; and together with its codeshare partners offers services to 349 airports in 54 countries and regions worldwide.
AL operates one daily direct service between Frankfurt and Tokyo Narita. Additionally, JAL offers a complimentary JAL-Bus service between Düsseldorf and Frankfurt airport, or the possibility of including a rail ticket free of charge (Rail&Fly service) using Deutsche-Bahn services for smooth connections from more than 6.000 stations across Germany to JAL direct flight from Frankfurt. Thanks to Finnair and British Airways code-share flights, JAL offers daily connections from Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, Munich, and Stuttgart to Tokyo (Haneda and Narita), Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo via London or Helsinki. JAL’s extensive domestic network connects nearly 60 destinations within Japan.
JAL Sakura Lounge in Frankfurt has been recently refurbished. Passengers accessing the lounge will be welcome by warm Japanese hospitality, and delicious dishes freshly prepared.
