CARGO TRAFFIC AGENT (m/f/d) at Japan Airlines
As Cargo Traffic Agent (m/f/d) you are responsible for the on-time handling (Import/Export) & dispatch of our aircraft and for the preparation of all necessary documents.
You will support Japan Airlines in achieving our business objectives by providing services to our customers. You will participate in the development and implementation of our operational policies and standards.
Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in Germany.
The position will initially be on a 18-month fixed term contract, with the prospect of permanent employment. Candidates should be willing to work in shifts (including weekends).
Main duties
• Support cargo operations (Import/Export) and office administration requirements in Frankfurt• Accept dangerous goods for transport by Japan Airlines in accordance with Company and local regulations
• Monitor the ULD build-up of Japan Airlines Cargo including special shipments (Pharma, Express etc.) to prevent incidents or damage and guarantee high quality handling
• Supervise Ground Operation and Cargo Handling – Ramp Handling and Loadmaster duties
• Check availability of and liaise with third parties & GHA staff, equipment, supplies and services
• Participating in internal projects, collaborating with various departments
• Additional tasks and projects may be assigned by the supervisor, beyond the primary duties listed
Required experience
- Completed apprenticeship or equivalent education in the freight-forwarding/ airline industry desired
- German language (business level)
- English language (good conversation skills)
- Driver’s license
