Air Astana is the leading airline in Kazakhstan and is offering scheduled flights and an extensive route network in Central Asia and the CIS states as well as beyond, for example to Europe, India and the Far East. In total, the airline serves more than 50 destinations.

Air Astana currently flies eleven times a week from Frankfurt to Kazakhstan: daily to the capital Astana, three times a week to the business metropolis Almaty and once a week to Uralsk in the west of the world's largest landlocked country.
The full-service airline is part of the Air Astana Group, the largest airline group in Central Asia and the Caucasus region, which also includes low-cost carrier FlyArystan. The group carries around 8 million passengers per year. In summer 2025, the Air Astana Group's fleet comprised around 60 modern aircraft with an average age of around five years. The fleet is set to grow to 80 planes by 2028 and will then also include some long-haul jets.
Air Astana offers passengers in Business and Economy Class an outstanding service. Accordingly, the airline has been named the best airline in Central Asia and in the Central Asia, India and CIS region by Skytrax for twelve years in a row.
