  • Founded in 1967, Air Mauritius helped in connecting Mauritius to the rest of the world by regularly opening new routes. With flights to and from Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa, the company now serves 23 regional and international destinations.

    Air Mauritius (MK) received The World Travel Award “Leading Indian Ocean Airline” several times is rated as 4-Star by SKYTRAX and listed at the stock exchange.

    The National Carrier is a strategic partner in the tourism industry. With 36.000 tons of cargo annually MK also plays a key role in the economic development of Mauritius. Despite open sky policy the Mauritian flag carrier remains the leading airline serving the destination providing around 2 million seats, and carrying some 1,6 million passengers yearly.

    The introduction of the new generation aircraft A350-900 in 2017 was the first step of the fleet renewal program whereby Air Mauritius is offering a unique in-flight experience contributing to position the company as the preferred airline to Mauritius. Two A330neo will join the fleet in 2019 replacing the A340-300E. Furthermore, MK is maintaining its order of four additional A350-900 up to 2023.
