INDUSTRY RELATIONS SENIOR LEAD (m/f/d) at SunExpress

We are looking for an Industry Relations Senior Lead (m/f(d) to join our team in Frankfurt. In this position, you are responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships of SunExpress with airports, tourism ministries and boards, and other key industry players. The position reports jointly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and the Senior Manager Network & Scheduling.

Main duties

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, tourism ministries, airports, tourism organizations, and other key stakeholders.
• Represent SunExpress in discussions and negotiations with industry stakeholders to protect the company’s interests and foster strategic partnerships.
• Lead negotiations on incentive agreements with tourism ministries, tourism boards, and other relevant partners.
• Strong collaboration and close alignment with the Network Planning team to ensure consistent commercial messaging.
• Anticipate and analyze industry trends and regulatory changes, translating them into actionable strategies.
• Provide regular briefings and reports to the executive management on governmental affairs, industry developments, and emerging opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations while fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.

Required experience

  • University degree or equivalent significant experience in a related field.
  • Strong background in aviation and/or the travel industry, with a minimum of five years of professional experience, preferably in public, regulatory or governmental affairs.
  • Broad understanding of the airport consultations and aviation fees & taxes highly beneficial.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultures and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and consulting skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and German. Turkish language skills beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe.
