Since its first flight on 5 April 2001, Freebird Airlines has grown into a trusted name in leisure aviation, connecting people, cultures and destinations across Europe and Türkiye.
As a proud member of Gözen Holding and operator of a modern Airbus A320 fleet, the airline combines safety, reliability and innovation with a distinctive identity symbolized by its multi colored tails.
Freebird Airlines has reached important milestones over the years. In 2002 it became the first Turkish airline awarded ISO 9001:2000, followed in 2006 by becoming the first private Turkish airline to obtain IOSA safety certification. It later became the first private airline in Türkiye to receive Airworthiness Review authority under SHY M. Sustainability initiatives include the introduction of the EFB 2 paperless cockpit system in 2012.
In 2019 the airline expanded into the EU with Freebird Airlines Europe in Malta. Since 2022 Freebird has also operated scheduled flights from 16 cities in Germany to popular holiday destinations.
