Safe Travel due to Sophisticated Hygiene and Health Safety Rules

With the start of the 2021 holiday season, demand for vacations and travel abroad is increasing. Due to the progressing vaccination rates as well as the significantly decreasing infection rates in Germany and numerous other countries, hygiene rules and entry regulations have been eased in many places. Gradually, people are experiencing less restricted mobility. In air traffic, more and more passengers are on the move again.

The health of all involved remains top priority. Accordingly, strict hygiene and health safety rules apply at all stations within the travel chain. By implementing these standards and measures and responsibly complying with them, airlines, airports, and even passengers themselves, are actively helping to prevent the uncontrolled spread of COVID-19 and variants of the virus.

A brief overview of the individual measures for safe travel is available for download here below. The guidelines include important information on the specifications at the following points of the travel process:

  • Preparations prior to travel
  • At the airport
  • On the airside
  • Boarding and deboarding
  • On the airplane
